BSJ Minor Hurlers earn a place in the MHC Quarter Finals
Wednesday, 08 October 2014 12:22

This match had all the ingredients of a Championship thriller. Faughs had won 2 from 2. Ballinteer had lost their opening match by a single point and a loss here would signal an early and unfulfilling end to Minor Hurling this year. For some . . . this could be the last time they would play together.

Senior footballers defeat Castleknock to keep playoff hopes alive
Wednesday, 08 October 2014 14:52
Our Senior footballers kept their Playoff hopes very much alive last night with a magnificent victory over Castleknock on the All Weather Pitch. Granted they still need other results to go their way and they need to beat an on-song Naomh Barrog team on Saturday week, it really has been a tremedous turn around. Having lost their first six matches in the league this year, the promotion playoffs seemed like a distant dream but Frank Clabby and co. have dramatically changed the fortunes of this team.
U11 Footballers Win Colmcilles Tournament
Monday, 29 September 2014 19:10

Under 11 Footballers taste victory at Colmcilles’ Invitational Tournament.

Congratulations to the under 11 football panel that showed real grit and determination coupled with high levels of skill to win the St. Colmcilles’ invitational tournament in Co. Meath on Sunday. They had to overcome some worthy opposition during the group stage, beating Trim, Colmcilles from Meath and St Eunan’s of Letterkenny. By topping the group with three convincing wins Ballinteer were pitted against a hotly tipped Kilmacud Crokes team in the semi final. It looked ominous early on when Crokes showed their customary composure and built up an eight point lead. However, our boys dug deep and displayed resolve to overcome what seemed to the doubters like an insurmountable lead and came out eventual winners after a string of brilliant goals.
