Junior As & Bs win as Judes prove too much for Senior Footballers

Senior Football

Our Senior Footballers took on St. Judes in their opening game of the Senior Football Championship on Saturday in O’Toole Park. After a slow start to the game, BSJ battled back in the second 15 minutes of the first half to hit 4 points in a row to go in 2 points down at the break. A bright start to the second half saw them score twice early on, getting it back to a one point game but Judes then went up a few gears and pulled

Junior A Football

The Junior A team took on Whitehall on the All Weather Pitch on Sunday morning. On a very wet morning, the lads dug in to ground out a 6 point win. A goal with 10 minutes to go being the crucial score that put the tie to bed. A high ball in from Ciaran Gormley from outside the 45 caused confusion in the squar. Eoin Walsh jumped with the goalkeeper and the ball ended up in the net. In true Harry Kane style – Eoin Walsh ran away with one arm raised! Also a superb performance put in by centre-forward Peter Flanagan. Final score 2-11 to 0-11

Junior B Football

Our Junior Bs played Scoil Ui Chonaill in Alfie Byrne All Wether Pitch in Clontarf, also on Sunday morning. They were also on the right end of a fantastic 6 point victory – turning over a 7 point defeat from last year. Superb performances from Brian Monahan and Frankie Ward and a two goal salvo from John Hickey insured BSJ were always comfortable and the game eventually finished 3-11 to 1-11.
