In their last game before the Leaving Cert break the Johns Minor Hurlers finished in style to complete a victory against Judes 3-13 2-10.
Playing against the hill and the elements the team started poorly and were too porous at the back, by the end of the first quarter Judes enjoyed a lead of 2-6 to 0-2. However a defensive reshuffle stabilised the team and in the last twelve minutes of the first half outscored the opposition 1-4 to no score, Joe Sweeney & Tom Ahearn sharing the points and Tom delivering the goal from a 20 metre free.
Judes delivered the first point of the 2nd half but BSJ responded with points from Cian Barry, Joe Sweeny and Tom Ahearn. On 38 minutes Judes had a player sent off which was quickly followed by a goal by Ewan Wells and from there on Ballinteer looked comforatable with Ahearn, Jack Kelly and Donnacha Carey all contributing scores from play, including a another goal from Tom.
