CLUB’S DESIGNATED LIAISON PERSON/GARDA VETTING
The role of the Club liaison officer is to investigate or validate child protection allegations or concerns within the Club using the GAA guidelines for dealing with allegations of abuse.
The BSJ Club designated Liaison Person is: Eamonn Hession 085 2320747
It is now mandatory for all new Mentors and anyone working with children under 18 to be Garda Vetted. Please go to the Welfare section of the BSJ website and begin this process IMMEDIATELY. The Club will be fined if any adult working with children is not e-vetted. Being Garda vetted means that our children are in a safe environment when training and playing matches and protects all adult mentors also. E- vetting lasts for 5 years. If you have any difficulty with the process please contact any one of the 4 Child protection officers listed on the website.
