3 out of 4 for our Adult Footballers

Our Adult Footballers had a overall good weekend, last weekend, with all the Junior teams winning but our Senior team lost.

Our Seniors took on Fingallians in away from home on Sunday morning but and were looking for their first win of the season. Fingallians got off the the better start hitting 4 points unreplied early on but Ballinteer pulled it back level replying with 1-01. Fingallians, however hit back with a goal of their own to put them 1-06 to 1-02 up at half time.  Ballinteer were then punished in the second half for some poor shooting ending up losing the game 1-11 to 1-02.

Our Junior A team then took on Wanderers on the Astro Turf pitch and looked impressive while recording their first win of the season. They beat Wanderers 2-15 to 1-06 and were never really stretched. They led 0-11 to 0-01 at half time but after a brief fightback at the start of the second half. Ballinteer just stretched there lead.

At the same time in Marley Park, the Junior B’s took on St. Marks and they had an even easier victory then the A’s beating them 2-14 to 0-05.

At 3pm in Pearse Park, our Junior C team took on Crumlin. They took the lead early on with a goal from Sean Naughten and never relinquised this lead. Crumlin got it back to 1 point but Ballinteer held strong and got their first two points of the season.
