Our adult had a great weekend last weekend with 4 wins from 4 in the league.

Our Senior team took an Erins Isle team that just would not quit. They got off to the best possible start by notching up 3 points in row, with Glenn Whealan scoring 2 and Feargal Duffy pitching in. Then Paric O’Connor popped up and scored 1-01 in a matter of moments to put BSJ 7 points up early on. Feargal Duffy and Glenn Whelan both pitched in with goals before the end of the half and Ballinteer were in the driving seat 3-05 to 0-02. Isles came out a completely different team in the second half and went all out attack. A goal with 10 minutes to go helped get Erins Isle right back into and reduce the deficit to 2 points. But Ballinteer hit straight back and started to slot some over the bar themselves and eventually ended up winning 3-09 to 1-10

Our Junior A footballers took on Inis Fails also on Sunday morning, looking to get the first league win of the year. After a sloppy start which allowed Inis Fails to get 2 goals, Ballinteer settled and went in at half time 6 points to the good. Both teams ended the game with 3 goals but Ballinteer ended the game with a 9 point victory – 3-06 to 3-15.

The Junior B’s took on top of the table side St Olaf’s and had a very impressive 13 point victory in Loretto Park, winning 1-15 to 0-05. The Junior C’s played St Finians on Sunday afternoon and ended with a tremedous 4-09 to 2-10 victory.

Well done to all the Adult football teams this weekend.
