There is a lot of activity this week in the Adult Football Leagues with some Ballinteer team’s playing twice. Our Senior team take on Kilmacud Crokes 2 tonight in Marley Park in their first game of the week. After the focus being on Championship for the last few weeks, both teams turn their attentions back to the league.
Ballinteer are 2 points ahead of Crokes in the league but Crokes have a game in hand, which means the games promises to be an intriguing contest. Crokes lost to Cuala on their last league outing by 2 points, while they beat Fingallians by 2 points the game before that. Ballinteer lost to Raheny in St Annes Park last time out, while they drew with Naomh Mearnog before that. This match throws in at 7:30 in Marley Park tonight (Wednesday).
On Saturday, the Senior’s are in action again taking on Round Towers in Clondalkin at 6:15pm.
Our Junior A team are in action on Friday night in Marley Park. They take on St Brigids at 7:30 in Marley Park. Ballinteer will be looking to push forward in the league after they have only claimed 2 points from a possible 12. Brigids will be made of stern stuff however as they sit with 5 points out of a possible 8. That match is at 7.30 in Marley Park.
Our Junior B team take on O’Connell Boys also on Friday night. This one is a top versus bottom encounter. Ballinteer are sitting pretty at the top of the table with maximum points and will be hoping to put some daylight between themselves and second place Portobello with a victory over O’Connell Boys. That match takes place at 7:30 in Loretto on Friday night.
The Junior C team are in action on Thursday night in the Phoenix Park against Na Gaeil Oga at 7:30. 3 points seperate these two with Na Gaeil Oga getting maximum points from their first four matches. Then on Sunday morning at 10:30, they take on St Marks in Loretto Park.
All support is very welcome to all of these matches.
