There is lots of football action this week involving our adult football teams including a crucial Senior football match against St. Pats of Donabate.
On Saturday, the Senior footballers take on St. Pats of Donabate in what promises to be a humm-dinger. St. Pats currently sit on top of AFL2 after a meteoric rise through the leagues in recent years, on 20 points. Ballinteer sit just 1 point behind on 19 points with 2 more games remaining after this. Ballinteer had good wins against St Pats of Palmerstown and Trinity Gaels last time out at the end of July, while Pats of Donabate had good wins against Cuala and Fingallians. The match takes place in Donabate at 6:15pm on Saturday. Be sure not to miss it.
The Junior A’s continue their push towards promotion on Sunday morning when they take on Parnells in Chanel at 11am. Parnells currently sit top of AFL5 while Ballinteer sit 3 points adrift in third place.
Our Junior B’s are in action twice this week and are currently 3 points of the playoff places with a game in hand. They are in action first on Tuesday against 2nd place Bank of Ireland in Ringsend Park at 7:15pm, looking to bounce back after being beaten by Thomas Davis last time out, while Bank of Ireland were held to a draw by Oliver Plunketts. Then on Sunday, they travel to Martin Savage Park to take on Oliver Plunketts at 11am. Both teams are level in the table on 9 points each so should be a great game.
As always, all support is welcome for these games during the week.
