Adult Footballers Record Mixed Results

The Adult football team had differing fortunes during the week leaving a very interesting end to the season.

A very youthful Senior football team was first up this week in the AIB Cup against a hotly tipped Kilmacud Crokes team, The game played out on a sun sprinkled evening in lovely SIlverpark turned out to be a revelation for this team and hopefully a turning point in what has been a season to be forgotten, The lads showed great commitment coupled with youthful creativity to record an excellent win to set up a semi final date against St. Annes.

The Junior A footballers travelled up the short distance to Frank Kelly park to take the experienced Wanderers in a league game, the team who had recorded three wins in a row made this four out of the last four to give them a big boost going into the last few weeks of AFL 5.

The Junior B footballers were up against it when they took on the seasoned campaigners Portobello in AFL 8, although the result went against the lads they will take heart from  a spirited performance and will hope to stay positive going into the next few games.
