Final of U8-9 LGFA Go Games Series

Marlay Park was a fitting stage last Sunday for the finale of the U8 and U9 LGFA go games series. Close to 150 8 & 9 year old girls took part in the blitz hosted by BSJ on behalf of the County Board. Visiting clubs included St. Marys Saggart, St Judes and Thomas Davis.

The girls didn’t let the biting wind and cold conditions deter their efforts and put on a fantastic display of their football skills right to the end.
Afterwards all girls were presented with medals and treated to an after match party in the clubhouse with their families.

Big thanks must go to all the co-ordinators, mentors and helpers behind the scenes for their efforts in making this event such a success. In particular the parents contribution of delicious food and refreshments was hugely appreciated by the girls, mentors and visiting clubs. The mentors would also like to pay a special thanks to Kieran Brennan and Eamonn Coleman for staying calm when this whirlwind of girls hit the clubhouse.
