The May Bank Holiday Saturday afternoon saw a huge crowd turn out for Ballinteer St Johns annual May Festival. This is an event eagerly awaited by all the kids in the community as it is packed with fun games, entertainment, BBQ and much more for all the family. This year was no exception with the Inflatable Pitch the focal point. The ever popular Tug of War, Puc Fad, Cic Saor and beat the goalie were in huge demand. An added attraction this year was BSJ Fittest Family competition. The younger kids enjoyed a variety of carnival games in the car park along with face painting and music. The BBQ was in full swing all afternoon and was a welcome break from the activities.
Later that evening the club held a community night in the function room with music, food and plenty of chat. On Monday evening it was Monster Bingo night with a huge crowd of over 150 turning out. Thanks to everyone who came along to support the weekend’s activities. Special thanks to the mentors, parents and members of BSJ who gave their time to organise and make the BSJ May Festival such a success. Roll on next year’s event.
