Junior Hurlers triumph in O’Toole Park

Congratulations to our Junior Hurlers who come out on top by a score of 3-12 to 1-5 in the final at O’Toole Park against Wild Geese.

Playing against a very strong wind in the first half St Johns put in a super performance fighting for every ball and converting their chance. At half time Ballinteer were behind by only two points 1-4 to 1-2. That all important goal scored by Joe Waters striking on the ground would prove invaluable. A great display driven from midfield and a very solid half back line pushed Ballinteer forward. The teams turned around and St Johns put the pressure on straight away hitting eight points in a 20 minute period. Again that man Joe Waters popped up to hit another opportunistic goal which put the seal on the match. Super performance all round by the team which was well deserved considering the training put in right through the summer. BSJ ALL THE Way.
