Junior Hurling Championship

The first round of the Junior B Hurling Championship took place Sunday 24th April. Ballinteer St Johns Jnr As took on Crumlin Jnr As in the Civil Service Hurling Club due to Parnell Park not being available. It may have been beside the 1916 war memorial but Ballinteer St Johns turned in a terrific performance. Oisín Power led the Attack and Oisín Chambers marshalled the Defence (Oisín agus Tír na nÓg). In the first half the Crumlin defence was majestic with Ballinteer surviving on frees. In the second half the game opened up and BSJ started to play some great hurling with fantastic scores from Sean Smith and Rob Aherne showing what they were capable off. The final score Ballinteer 0-18 Crumlin 0-9. Superb win well done to everyone involved players and mentors.
