Minor Footballers make history in winning the League

Our Minor Footballers go into the history books of Ballinteer St Johns when last week they took the Division 2 League title for the first time. In the 33 year history of the club we have never won a league or championship title up to yesterday.  For the record we were Div 3 Runners Up in 1989, Div 2 Runners Up in 2008, Minor B Champ Finalist in 2006 and 2009. In winning the league we won a very impressive 10 out of 11 games . There were wins against
Senior clubs such as Oliver Plunkets, St Vincents, Thomas Davis and St Sylvesters. We scored 232 and conceded only 92 giving us an average winning margin of 13 points per game. We will after a 2 weeks break return to training for the A Championship. Hats off?.
