The Junior A team took on St. Olafs in Pairc Ui Bhrian last night in an attempt to stay on winning ways after comprehensivly beating St. Annes last week. The lads got off to a great start with 2 points from Sean O’Reilly early on to settle the nerves and in a cagey first half Colm Duffy, Niall McCabe and Jack Gilligan added to those to points to make the half time score 5 points to 3. The second half started off well for the lads with a couple of early points put Ballinteer further ahead. Then with 15 minutes to go, a ball was launched into the St. Olafs goal and was broken down by the full-forward to Sean O’Reilly who neatly finished over the goalkeepers head to put St. Johns 5 points clear. St Johns then dropped an extra man back and held on for a two point victory after a couple of wonder scores from the St. Olafs attackers.
