The agony and the ecstasy – Leinster PPS SFC semi-final

CE.png

If any old picture paints a thousand words then this 12 megapixel snap is a tome on the scale of War and Peace!

Desolation for reigning champions, St Pat’s of Navan, and joy for Ballinteer St Johns Minors Enda Larkin and Cillian Fitzgerald, in the colours of Coláiste Eoin, at the final whistle of the Leinster PPS SFC ‘A’ semi-final in Parnell Park last Saturday. Well done, chomh maith, the other BSJ clubmen Robert Aherne, Patrick Hopkins, Iarlaith MacGabhann, Craig Moran, Conor Nolan, Andrew O’Connor and Mícheál Ó Cróinín who also feature in this Gael-Choláiste squad which brims with talent from some of Dublin’s lesser known clubs, Cuala, Ballyboden, St Judes, Bray Emmets, Kilmacud Crokes, St Vincents and Clontarf.

Their final outing in the Provincial Championship is next Saturday in Croke Park where they take on Marist College Athlone in a curtain raiser for the Dublin V Kildare clash in the National Football League. So if your Spring Series tickets aren’t all soggy from the bitter tears following Saturday night’s frustration why not go along a little early agus bain úsáid as bhúr gcúpla focal chun tacaíocht a thabhairt do na laids íontacha seo agus iad ag iarraidh an chorn a thabhairt leo ag deireadh an lae go Baile Átha Cliath. Be there and be loud in your support of our lads as they seek to take their place in history.
