Our U13 girls recorded a superb win last night against Naomh Olafs. Making a great start against the wind the St Johns Girls played great football to go in at half time 6 points up. Playing win the wind in the second half it was about playing smart and getting some fast scores on the board. Scoring 3 goals and 3 points they ran out 7 point winners on a score of 6-9 to 5-5. Fintan O’Curry has helped to train the girls over the last four weeks with Helena Fahy, Joe Keegan and Peader O’Shea. This expertise showed as this is the first time the U13 girls have beaten this Olafs team. Congratulations to all the girls for their commitment at training and courage on the pitch which made lead to this victory.
